Adventurous East

Eastern Nepal features the world’s highest mountain range including Mt. Everet (8,848 m), fifth highest peak Mt. Makalu (8,463 m) and the third highest peak of Mt. Kanchanjungha
(8,598 m). These areas are declared as national parks and conservation area, which offer excellent trekking and high adventure opportunities. Trek to the base camp of
Mt. Everest is ranked as one of
the greatest experiences of ones lifetime. Makalu Barun national park has the unique Himalayan bio-diversity from sub-tropical
to alpine climatic vegetation. Kanchanjungha conservation area offers the un-spoilt wilderness treks along the Limbuan settlements and through Tibetan Buddhist monastic culture.

LANGTANG/ SHIVAPURI NATIONAL PARK

Experience the diversity of a national park stretching right from the Kathmandu valley rim, and explore the high altitude lakes, glacial valleys of Langtang and the Tamang heritage trail that stretches to the nearest Tibetan border from Kathmandu.
Shivapuri National Park, just 15 kilometers north of the city center, is a great place for bird watching, climbing to the source of Bagmati river and the nearest Shivapuri peak (2,725 meters) for a birds eye view of Kathmandu valley in the south and Trisuli river basin stretching to Ganesh Himal and Langtang peaks to the north. It extends to Helambu and Gosaikunda treks.

GLORIOUS GORKHA

The Gurkhas are world famous for their gallantry and fierce lighting skills exhibited in the great wars: WW-I, WW-II, Falkland war etc. Gurkha veterans from Nepal provide security to Buckingham palace, Sultans of Brunei and all around the world in the UN Peace Keeping Force. Some of the greatest warriors of the world and of Nepal were born in Gorkha. The great King Prithbi Narayan Shah, who unitied modern Nepal in the eighteenth century, was born in Gorkha palace. Lord Gorakhnath, after whose name the district is named, has blessed king Prithbi Narayan to conquer many principalities in his bid to unify Nepal. The glorious Gorkha is also the Gateway to Manaslu and Ganesh Himals. Gorkha in central Nepal, located between Kathmandu and Pokhara is the only district extending from inner Tarai to Himalayas bordering with China.
So, the district has the greatest bio-diversity as the elevation soars from 288 m in the south to the world’s eighth tallest peak Mt. Manaslu (8,163 m) in the north. Gorkha offers some of the most fascinating trekking opportunities along the trans-Himalayan valleys behind Manaslu and Ganesh Himals, besides the soft trek to Barapak, the largest Gurung village of Nepal.

WILD WEST

Western part of Nepal is largely unexplored. The mysterious Dolpo (Ringmo lake and Shey Gompa), the beautiful Rara lake near ancient Sinja valley, Kanjirobha and Saipal Himalayan valleys, the mystic Limi valley of Simikot and the grandeur of Khaptad national park in the far west are less accessible but more adventurous. The area offers a taste of a different Nepal, with cultural exploration and also a gateway to the Hindu pilgrimage site of Mt. Kailash and Lake Manasarobar in western Tibet. The wildlife parks of Bardia and Suklaphanta are natural habitat for tigers, one horned rhinos, buck deer etc.

Kathmandu Valley

Cultural mysticism of magical Kathmandu valley has attracted great saints and explorers from around the world even during the forbidden period until the 20th century. Later, UNESCO listed 7 heritage sites within 20 kilometers of the valley, thus declaring this open museum of Newari art, architecture and cultural practices as the treasured world heritage sites. Walking through the streets of Kathmandu can take you centuries back to medieval times and enrich your soul with the divine blessings of the living goddesses.
