April 2015:
On April 17, I reached Kathmandu, the City I fell in love with on my first visit. Thamel, Patan, Bhaktapur, Nagarkot, friends I had made…were all reasons to come back to Nepal.
“It is the very caring and protective nature of the people of Nepal that got me home to my son. Nepal will always be closest to my heart. I believe it truly its the abode of the Gods.”Shandhya Babu Chaitanya from Bangalore, India crossed Thorang La in Annapurna circuit on April 25, 2015 the day of the great earthquake.

Dear Maheswor Shrestha,For me, there were many aspects to our recent trek…there is the trek itself, the planning and the people involved as well as those we met. In order for a rek to be successful and highly enjoyable, proper planning is a must…your planning was meticulous…. not only for the trek itself but also for the equipment list you sent us….. you even went so far as to do the actual trek itself prior to our coming over…this certainly goes above and beyond…… thus everything on the trek went quite smoothly and according to your plan. I found the trek to be the most challenging one, I did well and actually enjoyed every day.
The experience and beauty is not one that could be found anywhere else in the world…I am glad I went…I felt privileged to be in that environment and yes, I would most certainly do it again. The people are fine and extremely compatible. I was most fortunate to have had a private photography guide….my images this year are the best that I have ever done….I learned a lot from you and enjoyed being with you in our “private” sessions…..this was a very important part of the trip and my overall experience…i am still learning from you…. I have gone over your images…it was enlightening to see how you took the same view from several different perspectives. If I had not personally experienced your hospitality I could never have imagined it…now I know how kings must feel. We, of course would like to do another trek with you in the future…
With respect and gratitude,
Ed Neuwirth
Dear Maheswor and Family,
My thoughts and feelings of the Annapurna trek we did together are shown on trek to be successful and highly enjoyable, proper planning is a must…your planning was meticulous…. not only for the trek itself but also for the equipment list you sent us….. you even went so far as to do the actual trek itself prior to our coming over…this certainly goes above and beyond…… thus everything on the trek went quite smoothly and according to your plan. I found the trek to be the most challenging one, I did well and actually enjoyed every day. the DVD I prepared and you will hear, in my voice, the overwhelming excitement reflecting the beauty of your country, its people and the trek.
The hard work and hospitality you and your family showed us at your home will remain with me forever. A number of years ago, our son Michael made the same trek and he could not believe the DVD, which demonstrated your touring expertise and the arrangements you made. You even had the moon waiting for us to take pictures. Sharing our photos is even more enjoyable when I returned home. When I showed the DVD in the Apple Store, all the instructors and shoppers could not believe the beauty of the mountains, people, bridges, waterfalls, food, and all asked who planned this trip. Everyone was asking about your family and the ceremony when we were leaving your home. It was a trip of a life- time.
Thank you again for this trip of a life me and your gracious hospitality.
Regards to you and your family,
David Glassman (Aashtrekker)
